Hi there... So I installed this chip myself, and it has worked flawlessly for a year... Reinstalled it on another controller, and it worked perfectly again for one day! Then, next day...player 4 led stays lit up... When you hold the mod key down 3rd player led cycles. Can't turn mod off either. I thought I had a short, so I removed all wires and ran everything new off chip, inspecting for shorts or anything suspicious. Same problem persists. I am pretty sure I don't have a short, as I was meticulous with my soldering both times, plus new wires. Is this a short in the chip, cause it sure acts like one.? Is there a way to reset the chip? Any help appreciated. I have spent several hours trying to troubleshoot this freaking thing.
