The Serpent has landed.

*(spoiler warning)* My serpant controller has arrived its beautiful. What you can expect when you get your controller. In the box you will find 1 controller wrapped in bubble wrap 1 plug and play cord with a tie on it to keep wires bundled and one standard battery pack able to hold 2 aa batteries along with a chargable battery pack.

There is no CD or software in the packaging no instructions on how to work the controller. I am waiting like everyone else now for software problems to be worked out.

Odin says,
Code:
No instructions - since there is no CD-ROM - which means their is no CD Wallet with instructions. Instructions for the modded controller will be posted on the downloads page on the viking360.com website along with the software. We're working we're working...

You can find this discussion here.

Did you try turning on the controller with the start button. I'm pretty sure I read that's how to put it in programming mode. Still waiting for mine, should be here tomorrow.

Nope I sure didn't.

Another thing to note if you just plug in controller and get to playing one thing you will find is the first tack switch on the right turns turbo on and off what speed it has set for turbo I don't know but it does have turbo enabled without software.

Correct. Out of the box this thing is a standard dual-trigger rapidfire controller. I believe left tac #2 toggles left trigger rapidfire on/off (indicating on LED3), while right tac #2 toggles the right trigger. Rough software uploaded to the website including a firmware upgrade. Will have much more stable release coming tomorrow that fixes the last of the naughty bugs, including windows 64-bit compatibility!

I'm actually kinda glad I chose the black over the serpent black. The controller I really wanted though for my viking was the new one that MS was releasing next month, which I am still going to get anyways and use it as my main controller since I rather not wear-out my viking. I can see this controller being a top seller here on viking360. Here's a picture of what it looks like.

Same reason why I won't drive my 350z much in the rain, snow, or on long trips when I can just use my impala instead. I rather not wear-out things or put "miles" on something If i don't have to. So If i am playing a game that does not require the need of rapidfire/macros then why not use another controller that's replaceable. I don't know about you but that is just how I feel, I like to take very good care of my possessions. The only time I mistreat my things is out of anger when I break laptops(etc) over peoples heads but that's a different story... Oh and I never said I wasn't going to use it.. I clearly said It wasn't going to be my main controller.

Off topic but this is what happens to my car when people drive on the wrong side of the road. http://i56.tinypic.com/6rkhnk.jpg and then I end up having to pay this much because of other peoples stupidity on the road. http://i51.tinypic.com/w2215h.jpg.

That controller comes out next month? What else is different from the controller that's currently out now aside from the obvious like the colors. Is it possible that viking will use it to mod and sell! I still haven't purchased a macro but plan to, just want to see what else comes out as far a custom controllers!

Viking360 needs to confirm that the chip will work on these controllers when they are released so there is a small chance that they will not be compatible, which would suck!

p.s. That is one sweet car!
