What's with all the "Problems" threads?

Hi all, I was seriously thinking of buying a Viking because they seem to be way ahead of the curve, however all i see are the words "problems w/controller" in almost all the recent threads.
What gives?
Is anyone happy and issue free with their Viking?
I love the idea of downloading/updating macros when new programs come out, but if they don't work, what's the point?

I would love some clarification from happy customers, please
Happy Holidays

Hi.
Let me just say, you only see issue threads because no one who is happy is going to say that they they are issue-free (except me lol viewtopic.php?f=39&t=2224)
1000's no issues > 5-20 issues
Theres always issues in every product on the market. Broken phones, etc.
At any rate the customer support is amazing. They fix it immediately and free.

But anyways, issues are rare. Right now the software is in its preliminary stages, soon to be made to work beautifully with the controller.

My recommendation: Buy a controller. 99/100 (999/1000) will not have any problems. If there are issues, free fix and quick <10 days.

There are free software updates. Whenever you want just pop in new macros. I test macros out all the time. My turbo knife is one of the great macros out there. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tSQ_Z5nR_4E

The viking is 100% worth it. It has everything you could want or need. Updates are free. Buy a viking once, buy it for life. New call of duty? No problem, load up the software and get the new macros. There were macros for black ops before it was even out.

You only see problem threads as people who don't have issues with the controller don't tend to come on the forum praising their controller (ok well some do :p).

I think the problem percentage with controllers is around 2% at the most and maybe about half of them are user & software issues rather then an actual problem with the controller hardware.

I don't think this makes much sense but I'm tired so yeah haa.

Most of the problems are people who can't figure out teh software properly. A lot of tehm havn't even bothered to read everything on the site. Very few are actual issues, and I've never seen an unresolved issue.

#1 rule - we don't censor the forums! If our customers have a legitimate issue, it's important to us that they be heard - even if it means they be heard publicly for all to see. We want to address each customer's specific issue, while also looking for ways to improve our products for everyone. An un-censored forums help us do just that. But 'going public' also means that you are going to see more of our 'dirty laundry' than with other mod shops.

Other mod shops are only interested in making the sale, and then leaving you to help yourself. We are the ONLY mod shop with a legitimate, open and uncensored support forums. No other mod shop has this - every other mod shop forums that I have visited, I have seen censoring, post deletion and even fake posts from staff posing as 'real customers'. My wife and I run an honest, legitimate business. We try to be fair and make any needed repairs promptly.

Affirmative! We also get support tickets from time-to-time from happy customers. I guess maybe we could spend more time advertising how happy our customers are - but we'd rather let the product speak for itself. The less time our staff spends touting how awesome we are, the more time we have to actually work on the things that count - helping customers, processing warranty repairs where needed, and improving the software.

Affirmative. Our 90-day warranty not only covers a defective mod chip, defective mod chip or LED board installation, but also covers all manufacturer's defect in the hardware for 90 days. We can't lie, problems do happen. It's not easy to produce the world's most advanced XBOX 360 controller modification that hooks up to EVERY joystick, trigger and button. Please open a support ticket or find us in the forums if your controller is not operating the way it should be!

Affirmative. Not all of our support ticket requests and/or forum posts actually require the customer to send the product back to us for repair. There is a little bit of a learning curve to our products. Once you figure it out, though, the customizability and the macro creation is well worth it. Especially when comparing to other like-products such as the EvilControllers Master Mod priced at $249.99. The Viking360 controller is the best bang-for-your-buck if you are looking for a premium modded controller.

FYI, here are the Better Business Bureau ratings for other popular mod shops (links listed below):

http://www.GamerModz.com - F
http://www.SilentModz.com - F
http://www.ProModz.com - F
http://www.EvilControllers.com - F

Gamermodz BBB score: http://www.bbb.org/west-florida/busines ... l-90060488
Silentmodz BBB score: http://www.bbb.org/centralohio/business ... h-70058578
ProModz score: http://www.bbb.org/san-diego/business-r ... 171994887/
EvilControllers BBB score: http://www.bbb.org/central-northern-wes ... 000006956/

Companies don't have to necessarily register with the BBB to get a rating. Customers can complain to the BBB about a company whether or not they are a registered member of the BBB. Viking360 doesn't even show up on the BBB radar. Our official business is Viking360.com LLC. I guess that's good news that we don't have a pile of unresolved BBB complaints!
