if I can, whats up ?

im trying to add a rune to my controller but idk how to get it in software update mode

Ok, have you got the berserker windows app

yes thats the one that tells me to put in software update mode

click on HIDBootloader, plug your mini usb into pc and the extra socket below the battery slot, controller in switched off mode, now press the left and right bumper together, and at the same time press the X button, 4 purple led's should now flash on the controller .... now to pc, click on the envelope below file, select "berserker firmware update" ... let it run .....

so far so good ... or not ????

got it! it was not the X button its the guide button

nothing at all?? make sure the micro usb is pushed fully into the controller, some are a tight fit, especially if you have paddles ...

btw, are you in the correct micro slot, the one between the tac/paddles on the underside ...

and it was the Guide Button has to be held down

the pic is correct, and yes, the guide button with the L and R bumper ...

I know this a daft Q, you have battery in yes ?
