I kinda want to get the new viking......would really like to have illuminated lights for buttons and thumbsticks as seen on other websites.....also custom shells ( baby blue, yellow, red, etc ) Can you do that? You guys should have a ( CUSTOMIZE YOUR OWN ) option.........also, can you use rechargeable batteries for modded controllers???

Custom controllers can not be made I'm afraid. Your best chance on getting a complete custom one would be to contact Fredrow.

Yes you can use rechargeable batteries :)

Are you a employee of Viking360.com??? I want someone from Viking360 to answer this question! Can you state that you work for..........I also wanted to know if the fast reload on the viking works for all guns and is used by pressing the X button or is it one of the 6 added buttons....also the holding of the breath....is that the left trigger or is that one of the buttons aswell. or is it the new left trigger. because i think holding your breath, the cursor moves slower than when your just dragging it without holding breath......also, can you remap all buttons on the viking??? and can you customize your own speed for using the FAL..............one more thing......can a viking mod be rendered useless cause i heard that xbox can limit how fast a player shoots because of complaints????

From what i understand, Fredrow only received two viking 2.0 chips to work with. He already sold off his first one, and has finished work on his second one. If you want a custom viking 2.0 controller, i would suggest buying the one he just made, because I'm not sure if he's getting another chip for awhile.

(I may be wrong about this. Correct me if I'm wrong Fredrow. I'm going off of what I've been reading around here)

I was planning on purchasing a new controller from Viking and have it shipped to him to get customized. Sent the email over a week ago. I figured he might be busy or something. Didn't want to send multiple emails. Might try again.

ok first off anyone with a green user-name is a moderator on vikingforums.com(A.K.A the official viking360 forums) so yes ben does work for viking360. He also runs rapidcontrollers.co.uk which sells viking360 controllers in the U.K. now to answer your questions
1. it can be done through the x button
2.its through the left trigger but can be programed to toggle from a tac switch
3. no you can remap up to 6 buttons at a time on one page
4. yes that is one of the main features of the viking controller
5. no that is complete BULL*#&% how would Microsoft be able to tell how fast your shooting? and modded controllers are fair according to Microsofts ToU and CoC( Terms of Use and Code of Conduct) if you want i can provide a link to the live enforcement team stating themselves that its fair use.

P.S you could be a little nicer ben was just trying to help.

Fredrow can be very busy at times. He's a college student and that takes up a lot of his time. Usually he responds within a day or two, but if it's been a week, you might want to shoot him another email.

I'm not sure if M1A1 answered your question or not, but i read it a different way, so i hope one of these answers gets what you were asking at. (It may be his or mine, i honestly don't know)

But if you were asking about firing speed limits in games such as call of duty, then yes, these do exist. However the speed limits have nothing to do with microsoft, but rather the game developers themselves. The game developers put coding into the game that limits how fast you can shoot, but it has nothing to do with complaints, it's just part of the game for every single player. Every single mode on the viking360 controllers has been programmed to shoot at the maximum possible speed for whatever game you are using it for. So be assured that you will be shooting faster than anybody else in the game.

I wasnt sure if ben worked for viking. thats why i asked.......if he replied that he was. i would thank him.....seeing how that question was for him.......Thank you M1A1 for your answers too. I appreciate the quick responses....you guys really should get a number so potential customers know that the people they are communicating with represent the company.....thats what most companies do nowadays....helps when you can talk to a real live person...its like when you call a company about a dispute and are dealing with an automated machine that doesnt have the options concerning the call....noone wants that....kinda makes your company seem a little sketchy when it comes to customer service. I have more questions that would all take maybe 5mins over the phone but instead am waiting on an email ( although very helpful due to being in text ) which might have me look elsewhere.....But I will give you this....your mods do look more advanced seeing as how they are future ready with the updates and all.......your guys next step should be to make your controllers more customizable ( shells, illuminating buttons and thumbsticks, etc ) i know thats what i want to see.........also, i dont see any videos on youtube or your website showing how fast the mod can go in multiplayer.....you see, i have a mod already that works fine in private matches but when i use it in public matches, it locks, slows down.....i cant remember where i read it but i could swear that dude was talking about how microsoft has something in their controllers that can tell if it has been modified. If not...then when people call in about a user shooting too fast. then they would monitor that users controller detecting rapid firing without letting off the trigger......what has me believe this in some way. is that alot of websites state that they are 100% UNDECTABLE ON XBL!! If they werent a concern of Microsofts. then why would they put this on their(modding companies) websites. YES, Microsoft does make rapid fire controllers themselves. But are they supposed to be used on XBL.....that is a question I would like you(viking360) to answer

When companies say 100% undetectable they are lying (they say it for marketing purposes).. Remember the WaW patch a year ago or so? Everyone said their controllers were undetectable yet they still got patched on WaW... hmmm.

The Viking install is a very fiddly install in a stock controller let alone a custom case (like a XCM case), yes other companies other this but they only have a tiny 12F683 chip in the controller. You are not able to get a custom case put on your controller (except the ones listed on the site). Your only real option is to buy a controller then either do it yourself or pay one of us experienced mods to do it (Modded Matt, Fredrow, Blackburn, Irish, Me).

These controllers will work on multiplayer unlike your existing controller(s). After you buy this controller, you'll never have to buy another modded controller.. EVER!

First of all let me make it very clear that The Viking can do EVERYTHING that EVERY other modded controller can do. If there is any doubt please ask here - the other mod shops make a nasty habit of misleading customers. So if the Viking doesn't sound as 'cool' as other mods, it's because our goal isn't to mislead you.

Ok, here are my answers:

I am the owner.

SnowMan613 said:

No, fast reload doesn't work on ALL guns (for example, it does not work on shotguns and it does not work on bolt-action sniper rifles). It works on MOST guns. Yes it can work either when pressing the X or it can be added to one of the 6 buttons.

SnowMan613 said:
also the holding of the breath....is that the left trigger or is that one of the buttons aswell. or is it the new left trigger. because i think holding your breath, the cursor moves slower than when your just dragging it without holding breath......

Hold breath is normally done by pressing down on the left stick, you can have the left trigger or the tac switches (or any button, for that matter) also push the left stick for you. So you can hold breath by pressing the left trigger, or by pressing a tac switch, or any other button...

SnowMan613 said:
also, can you remap all buttons on the viking???

You can remap any button with the exception of the joysticks left/right/down/up movements to the tac switches. However you can't re-map stock buttons. I.e. you can't 'swap' the X and Y buttons. But you can 'double up', for example if you want to jump when you press the d-pad down button, this can be done, but the game will still also recognize that you just pressed the d-pad down button.

SnowMan613 said:
and can you customize your own speed for using the FAL..............

Yes. Up to the in-game cap (see below).

Microsoft doesn't do anything. The game maker (Infinity Ward, etc.) can choose to implement speed caps or rapidfire detection in their software. In COD:WAW the speed cap was somewhere around 12SPS and required a 'special' rapidfire code to happen. In COD:MW and COD:MW2 there was a cap somewhere around 10SPS. I haven't played Black Ops yet to see what is the cap (as I have been laid up in bed for the past 5 days with ilness). In the event that the game maker tries to detect and stop rapidfire controllers, having a Viking is a real advantage because we can push any software updates that get rapidfire working again over the internet. Other mod shops will charge you big $$$ for any needed upgrades.
