Imagine being able to consistently perform a particularly complicated gaming move with ruthless efficiency, coupled with perfect execution… with very little effort by simply pressing a button? That’s what these macro-modded controllers allow gamers to do!
For other gamers, that are not using one of these so-called macro modded controllers, in order to pull off the same move they may need to be particularly dexterous because the same technique could require analogue stick movements in conjunction with a combination of sequence-specific button presses.
I can honestly see the attraction to wanting one of these controllers, but if I did have one, it would only be used to defeat spammers. That being said, they cost a lot of money and I cannot justify the expense as I’m only a casual weekend gamer.
I sincerely hope that we don’t ever see online gamers using these dodgy controllers for FNC!

There’s a macro-modded controller called the “Viking” that allows gamers to program pre-defined sets of "moves" (i.e. macros) and then perform them via a simple press of one of the switches that are added to controllers. These "moves" include movements of the analogue stick as well as button presses.
Sets of game-specific “moves” can be downloaded onto a PC from a website (as created by other users) and then installed onto the controller itself or alternatively programmed specifically by the gamer.
These controllers are currently only available for the XBOX 360 at the moment. However, it’s feasible (though apparently not tested - so it may not necessarily work) that they could also be used on a PS3 (if used in conjunction with an “XCM Cross Fire Converter”). The Viking forum states that a PS3-specific version of this controller could be available before Christmas! These macro controllers are extremely expensive (i.e. minimum of $250)!
So to answer your question… YES... these types of modded controllers CAN be used in fighting games as well a first-person shooters! Imagine being able to back or side step and then throw a power straight via a single button press? Alternatively, create and exploit a counter window by ducking, throwing a power straight and then blocking again with one button press! The list of possible ways to exploit this game using one of these dodgy controllers is endless!
Anyway, I won’t buy one because (with any luck) the PS4 could be released late 2012 or early 2013 and it wouldn’t be worthwhile forking out the money if it doesn’t work with the newer console. I also would not buy one for obvious ethical reasons!

if you can make the mod punch with one button or program a step and punch.
i am sure they are out there in FNC. the disadvantage of doing this is, its a repeated step and a good player will figure out the repeated pattern and counter, unless they get KOed first lol
