Legacy mod chip??

Is the legacy mod chip outdated on the viking360 site or is it relatively new?

That is a loaded question!

The legacy modchip started selling back in June of 2009. However because it allows for USB software updates, it's still better than some of the mods available out there. Also, I have plans on adding as many of these features to the legacy modchip this summer as possible before it runs out of memory (straight copy n' paste out of my spreadsheet)

So, I wouldn't call the legacy modchip outdated, but I wouldn't call it new. Some of our customers still actually prefer Odin's Raven and Thor's Hammer (made with the legacy chip) vs. our Ragnarok and Macro controller, and I'd still put our legacy chip head-to-head against anybody else's modchip thanks to its USB capability and free software updates!

I noticed that the legacy mod chip in on volngdigital for purchase now. when will the installation instructions be available. if they are could you provide me a link?
