matrix controller help

hello, i am a bit confused and hope someone can point me in the right direction.
with the matrix board i will only get rapid fire?
is there a need to install the two buttons on the bottom plus the 3.5mm jack?
will i need to program it if its rapid fire only?
and do i need to install the 3.5 mm jack to use the supplied usb to 3.5mm cord?

I do not believe you need to install the 2 tact switches, but you may want to install one of them so you don't have to use the sync button.

And yes to use the cord, you would need to install the 3.5mm jack.

I think you can still choose between 3.5mm and PnC option (for programming the Viking) when installing it on the matrix circuit board. But yeah you only get the 'all in one driver' meaning only dual-trigger radpifire.
