Maximum rapid fire rate?

I play a few old games (e.g. Halo 3) that simply holding the trigger would suffice nicely as oppose to spamming the button constantly.

Basically, I'm wondering what the maximum rate of fire for rapid fire would be; I had already tried to create a few macros myself, using the speed multiplier or simply making very small button presses (0.1 seconds each press) on the right trigger.

Problem is, the macros are so fast that it does not result in anything happening in-game (too fast to register).

So yeah, what's the maximum rate? Is this game-specific? I would like to assign rapid presses to other buttons as well.

Its game specific Halo 3 is something Ive never personally tried but there are some macros on the site for different games.

Start off with the basic Viking Team Rapid Fire for Black Ops and keep slightly adjusting it up until it starts to skip...

Edit macro, top right gear, change .89 to higher or lower to find the best speed.
