And how much longer are you going to be selling full featured macro controllers for?

Hopefully odingalt can answer the new design question, and we will be selling full featured macro controllers until we are sold out.

They will rise in price as well, so order soon!

Nice, Just ordered mine. Will the new controllers be "Macro" like the ones being sold now? Or will yall be coming up with something completely new? Im curious as well, if it will just be a new designed controller with the same features or something completely new altogether.

They say it might be like the legacy chip but better.

The feauture most likely to be dropped is analog sticks. The PS3 controller in beta doesn't have any control over the analog sticks either.

Very unlikely, it could possibly match the macro in most areas, but I don't think there is much more you could do to beat the macro controller hardware wise... The editor could possibly be improved, but not the controller it's self.

The new controllers will be similar to the legacy controller. They will be built for COD games and have basically everything (rapid-fire, jitter, fast reloads, etc) but no macro capability.

We will be adding more customizing with these. More on that later.

If you want macro capabilities, then buy the macro controller.

um... no if i buy one thats 200 bucks that im putting down, i want to be able to update it if and when patches come out or new mods could be created

Absolutely. And really, the beautiful thing about the Macro editor is you don't even need us any more! You can use the macro software to create macros. Of course, if customers find bugs in the macro software, we will still provide bug fix updates. But we are not adding any more new functionality to the macro software, because it already lets you create any macro you want. :)

We're not retiring the macro controller because it's a bad product, or because we're inventing something better. We're simply retiring it because we're running out of modchips and CG2 circuit boards needed to build the macro controllers! Plus the macro controllers are very very expensive to produce. We are going to produce a "lesser" modded controller this fall to better compete with the other mod shops.

That's what the macro controller was designed for! The Macro Library and The Viking Macro software will always be available for download, long after we stop selling the Macro controllers. The forums will still be here, and there will still be about 1,500 loyal Macro owners working together on new macros. Macro Controller was built for EXACTLY what you are talking about - rolling with the punches if XBOX Live or a Game Developer tries to patch your mod.

thats what i wanted to know... if i would still get updates after you quit selling them...

p.s. - odin i think you are the best there is when it comes to the modded controller market and i will most definately buy the macro when i get enough money... and i have been working my butt off to be able to buy a controller.
