ok so i usually put my computer to sleep but yesterday i added my xbox to windows media center but i didnt like it so i removed it.but now when i push the sleep button it just turns the screen off. anyone got ideas??

Well Vista & Windows 7 is basically the same (almost)

I believe that you might have to go into your control panel, and then search around in either your system setting or maybe even in your display settings. You will have to play around in there for a min to actual find it but somewhere in there is where you can adjust the settings for it.....

Go to control panel, go to system & maintenance, go to power options, go to select a power plan, go to the left side bar and choose CHANGE WHEN THE COMPUTER SLEEPS, from there you can choose whatever sleep settings you like.

Charlie you Led me to where I was but didn't help...then I saw another option and it was exactly what I needed so in other words you accadentally led me to where I needed to be...so THANKS....thanks fredrow for trying to help and I'm happy that I got my computer working the right way again
