Here is a great data sheet that explains the difference. Also these new threads to bump your post count is getting a little awkward ;)

no i was seriously wondering....the reason im posting these threads is because my friend only had enough to buy an intensafire mod kit so i said fine ill put it in for him.considering the fact that he has never done it before....so wile i wait for it to come in i was asking questions...like is the guide buttons swappable and then this so i know what i can and cant do. because i lost my TORX t8 security driver so i was asking first then doing it second. hope that clarifies why im making so many threads....thanks for the link irish btw....i LOLed but i seriously googled it but cant find ANYTHING :(

Intensafire should be compatible with matrix, cg and cg2 controllers. I think this also includes the version of intensafire that has dropshot? mod (I think there's a version of code floating around for the intensafire where you can solder an extra wire to get dropshot, not sure here?)

In any case, the Intensafire has a small switch in addition to the main CPU, the purpose of the switch is to autodetect between matrix and the cg controllers. Don't quote me on this, I've never talked to the developer of Intensafire, that was my guess based on the Intensafire I saw with my own bare hands.

I read that too...but I found out that it's fake...however I did find a way to add a quick on off feature to it.

M1 that link I posted has a good thread in the search results. The second result down is a conversation about the difference between the cg and cg2 complete with data. Odin also chimed in on that thread. The post is complete with tracked traces and voltage requirments for RF.

ok, you want facts?

I know the code writer for instafire personally, his first name is Chad

there is no drop shot for instafire (none that has ever been released) there is a debug terminal where new code can be reloaded to the chip in circut, but this has not been released.

there is a terminal for an extra button, this is a quick off button (tap for on/off, hold for change modes)

instafire was created before cg2 was released. it uses the mic supply power to turn off/on....in the cg2 controller, this point is no longer switched, therefore the mod will likely stay on. it has a sleep (not sleeper) function that will eventually turn it off though.

If you want a VERY good mod, and cant afford viking Hazers final RF code has been publicly released exclusivly at acidmods. It is titled "Flex" and it is beastly.

Didn't he also drop it on the Microchip forum too?? I also go back there once in a while to see if people still are posting on that forum or not.

not Flex. flex is new it is completly onboard customisable, duel trigger, waw compatable with burts.

it can be 1-4 modes, each mode can be programed for single, or duel, burst, or waw, or combine them together to make your own.

this is all done using the triggers, and one added button.

Flex is one amazing bit of code!

Thanks for the info Matt...I do know about hazers RF and I personally like it ALOT more than the intensafire....but my friend ordered it before he told me and I would have told him about hazers RF but it's too late.....but anyways where would I connect the point that is missing on the CG2? The negitve side of a rumble motor?
