My controller will not stay in programming mode. When I first got it last week I was able to download a driver no problem. Today it will not stay in programming mode so the bootloader is not recognizing. What do I do?

(Be sure to use a fresh set of batteries, a number of users have had troubles linking up to the computer have been able to fix it with fresh batteries)

The mod chip needs 'better' voltage for the USB port compared to normal rapidfire operation. In normal rapidfire the chip only needs 1.8 Volts - meaning you can run the batteries dry and still rapidfire away, in USB mode the mod chip needs more like 2.6-2.8V which it cann't get with worn or discharged batt's
