I think the M14A's ideal speed is lower than the pistols and the FAL. At least on the setup I was using last night pistols worked great but my M14A was sputtering especially in a high activity area (maybe lag??)

Game lag will affect you and at least at my house I've had some connection issues with the BO servers.
