Raven in Halo 3 ODST

Does the Raven controller actually make a differnece in ODST? Because i was looking at youtube and the rapid fire didnt seem to be doing much. Before i send my controller in to their sister site i want to make sure that it will work for ODST, if not ill still but it for mw2 anyway

ODST may have different speeds you can shoot the gun.

I do believe that there is no speed restriction on mw2, which is why rapid fire works so well on guns such as the fall as it is how fast you can pull the trigger, but on halo 3 and ODST there is a shooting restriction which only lets you shoot as fast as the game allows you.
