Is this the proper placement for the drill pattern? There are 2 tiny black pieces in a L shape under the paddle top screws, should I cut those out so it will be flat there? It also seems like the tact holes are to far out toward the outside, could someone that has installed these please...

The controller has worked perfect since I built it 1.5yrs ago & recently it started acting up, when you press left on the dpad it acts like I'm pressing the A-Button. Any ideas, should I look for a loose wire or do you think the chip should be rewired or reseated?
