just wondered if there was any news as to when the forge public library might be up and running?

No solid ETA. It's being tested on our development server.
We are waiting to do one big rollout of the Forge, which will include at least the following improvements:
-New Windows apps
-Connect your controller to your PC/Mac, retrieve recorded runes from your controller to your forge account
-Add youtube video link to a runepack (Mostly this will be used by Viking staff for official runes)
-Changing the default home page (for novice users, home page will now just display available runepacks)
These are under development but not sure if they'll make it in the next update, or the "update after the next update":
-MacOS app (yes, before the end of this year I believe we will have the MacOS app)
-Log into forge account from Windows or MacOS app, flash runepacks directly from your account (without having to manually download the pack first)
-Set a flag in your runepack to share it publicly in the public forge
-Filtering of runepacks to view staff-only, or view all runepacks, when browsing in the public forge
I might be forgetting a few minor things. I don't have a solid ETA and can only say it's under construction on our development server.

For the time being, to designate your pack as being viewable in the public forge, click the globe icon in the upper right-hand corner, then re-save your rune pack.
