turbo button macros

Hey. Whats the best way to turn the x y b a buttons into turbo buttons? In Madden 2010, when fighting for a fumble, you need to rapidly press x, y, b or a to recover a fumble in a pile of players. Can I create a macro that lets the controler act normaly (macros off) and then change the x y b a into turbo buttons? Thx for the help.

Question, can you just mash all four buttons to recover the fumble, or does it penalize you if you are turbo'ing the wrong button?

Correct. It penalizes you for pressing the wrong button. I was thinking of making a tac switch, an "on/off" button for the marco. So I can turn it on and off quickly.

The easiest way I can think of is to assign the x,y,b,a turbo to four different tac switches, then try to remember which tac switch corresponds with which button. Then you can just hold down the "y turbo'ing tac button" when it is calling for the Y button, etc...
