With the macro controller you absolutely had to connect it via cable, which is a hassle because I don't own a computer. Let's say that by using an android app you don't have to. How and when?

I may be wrong, but the android app would only be for making runes. you would still need a pc to open the bootloader and program the controller.

on the bright side, it all works perfectly on my surface pro 3

I forget but think that you can change thing in the rune pack then upload from app.. Still think you have to build the runes from your PC! Will just wait for Odin to answer this!

The android app would be used to program the runepacks into the controller. You would still need a cable.

We will actually end up having MacOS out first (surprisingly) before the Android. Android is stuck at 99% done, the same software developer that is behind schedule on the forge update would be the same one to finish the Android app.

Android app definitely not until 2015 some time and likely not in early 2015.
