i have the droid 2 and i love it!
I have the samsung droid charge. It's "ok". Texting still sucks on Android. More often than not I end up giving up and going to find a computer with a keyboard. The longer I use the phone, the worse the auto-correct gets. Also, this phone DOESN'T HAVE A MESSAGE WAITING INDICATOR ON IT.... W T F
So far, not incredibly impressed with the latest generation of cell phones. Mine is still jerky/laggy when I scroll around the menus, and especially when trying to place/receive calls. I end up hanging up on every third person. I swipe to answer the call.. doesn't answer... I wait patiently... I swipe again... I wait... it picks up and then hangs up as it just registered both swipes.

Try rooting overclocking, de-blurring / removing bloat...
Use swiftkey keyboard in the market as well. It starts to learn how you text.
I had a droid 1 from release until about 3 months ago when i got my iphone 4. It was a cool phone but it started to lag really bad. I had it rooted and overclocked and it was still slow. The apps were decent but not the best.
I love my iphone 4. Its super fast with or without jailbreak. The app selection is fantastic. There are so many cool games its awesome. There are some cool new android phones but ill stick with the iphone for now.

I agree the custom Roms were cool. Free mobile wifi hotspot was cool too. But i got really tired of updating my rom all the time and losing functions when a bad rom came out. I think the iphone is much simpler which keeps it speedy. Its market is well established so they always get top notch apps and games. Maybe android will catch up in the future but the iphone 5 is going to be twice as fast as the 4 so i cant wait for that.

Free mobile wifi hotspot is now dead with gingerbread. If you root to get around it, they charge you.
I hardly change my rom, and if I do its a breeze. I just take steady Apex.
True, iPhone is simpler.
Once the iPhone 5 comes out, I may bite. App store is amazing, but android is catching up very fast.

I got the OG EVO right now if I get my job I'm going to get the evo 3D. I rooted my phone with kingsRom unleaded R5 thanks to fredrow hooking me up. I love the hot spot it workable great. Once that evo 3d comes out it will blow all the phones away

I want the Xperia Play for one reason. Games. Even though I despise sony for suing people, that phone is sick! Full version of minecraft ftw..
