BC2: Is there any gun to use?

For the mod? I was wondering maybe the M14 or that semi automatic sniper the VSS or something like that, would pistols work?

Have you tried cod5 speed? I know mw2 is so fast guns won't shoot continuosly, someone said cod5 will shoot continously . I can't try it out myself because I am on spring break.
