Infinity Ward is essentially disbanded. The only thing left about IW is the name. All the programmers, VP's, artists, etc. all left the company.

Yes but probably only worked on by Infinity Ward by name... many of the key players left IW after a huge lawsuit with Activision over bonus pay...

"Perhaps the Infinity Ward staffers were keen to move way from a franchise they'd been working on for almost ten years. Activision, meanwhile, must have been equally keen to keep them plugging away at what is by far the most successful brand in its portfolio. Now, the studio looks to be irreparably damaged: a quarter of the Modern Warfare dev team gone, a third of that team suing their publisher, the creative leads of that team working at a brand new studio. Analysts and Activision shareholders alike will no doubt be wondering how this could all have been handled differently..."

Fortunately for Activision, despite everyone's complaints about Treyarch's work, the "OMFG I must have it" generation of kids keep on buying the game and setting new sales records...

I knew that IW was almost completely disbanded, because of stupid legal issues, but Raven and Sledgehammer made some pretty good games..

ya its a shame infinity ward was the best call of duty makers ever i just hope cod 8 turns out well if they use the mw2 engine and jsut changes the guns and maps it will be perfect if they go back in time its a waste of money the old games are boring as fuck there to many of them cod 1, 2, 3, 5, are all old and theres only 2 new so they better make it amazing

I prefer battlefield. I would like to see them make a MMOFPS with dedicated servers. I would pay a monthly fee if I could play a 64-player lag-free match of COD with vehicles...

I prefer 12 player lag-free match of COD with no vehicles.

Lag-free = happy-me!

I enjoy battlefield as well. Also, I heard that Halo is making an MMO, I don't know if its MMOFPS yet, but if it is, that'd be absolutely amazing.

You know what I really take offense to this comment

At the same time I feel bad for you too, because someone has to be in a very dark place to call themselves dumb out in public like this!!! :D

I'm super excited for the next Call of Duty to be released. I have been a huge fan and supporter of the Call of Duty empire, from Call of Duty 2 (I never played 1 until it came free with one of the Call of Duty games) to Call of Duty 3 which was the first shoot'em up game I played on multi-player, to Call of Duty Modern Warfare, to Call of Duty 'World of War', to Call of Duty Modern Warfare2, to present day Call of Duty Black Ops......

Each and every Call of Duty I have enjoyed playing; and it really strikes me as odd when people bash pass Call of Duty games just because they weren't made by there favorite game dev's.[cough]*IW*[cough]....
If people were really 100% & stood behind there words then they would never even play the other Call of Duty games while never even dreaming once of ever buying/owning them!!!

What I like about how IW did things is they kept all consoles on par with eachother. Treyarch did a terible job on the PS3 version of BO, and kind of tossed out a crappy wii version too. It's only any good on 360 or PC out of all the consoles they released it for.

The only way to get lag-free is to play on PC. XBOX LIVE = LAGFEST.

Unless they make dedicated servers.
Thy will never it to much money to spend so lol they're all about money
wrong.... MAG= dedicated servers. Homefront=dedicated servers BFBC 1/2=dedicated servers.....its not to expensive its just the devs are too lazy to put in the effort when they know they can ship a shit ton and people will buy them just by the name on the case.
