Can I apply the Xbox One Controller update from Microsoft?

Need this update to use the Xbox One Stereo Headset Adapter. Wondering is it safe to apply to the Ragnarok? Thanks.

That was the Berserker I was talking about and they should go hand and hand on software!

Viking is not responsible for bricking your controller due to software updates in the future, but as of 3/10/14 the current update appears to be safe.
