I have The viking software but not the Firmware bootloader thing?

Edit:I get the Viking to day and dose it update when it link to softwave or do you need to do it.I saw one forum the guy said that it updates when link and then one said the use some bootloader thing?

one more thing do you update macros first or firmware first or is it fine?

Ideally you want to update the firmware then one that is done you can play about with the macros and what not

Yeah the firmware you only have to do once when a new version of the firmware comes out. There was a new version yesterday so it's a good idea to take it . Then you shouldn't need a new version for awhile unless the staff (me lol) finds bugs.
