This will definitely fix your issue. The older versions of the apps are still trying to connect to our old "Heroku" hosted servers. You need to download the latest App - the new version of the App connects to our server at forge.vikingdigital.com instead.

A lot of customers are still running old versions of the app which connect to Heroku servers - we left the Heroku servers running (just so customers wouldn't be forced to upgrade their apps right away), but Heroku is incredibly buggy and the service goes up and down at will.

The best fix is to upgrade your App to the latest version, then you'll always be connecting to the Viking servers instead, which don't go up and down as often as the Heroku servers. (Our server only goes down on major holiday three-day weekends, this is when the Chinese like to do their hacking)
