I was wondering if there was any chance of getting sponsored by viking? And if so, how would I go about doing that? Cause that would be 100% legit. haha I already tell enough people about you guys.

That's not very smart. I mean I know they aren't CRAZY BIG name but they really aren't that small of a company. I know getting my clan sponsored or me would bring in more customers and everything else. 1 controller and getting so many more people to come buy, and even check out the sight seems like a step in the right direction. Getting viking360 out there. Ya know?

Well, I've heard Odin has a lot of money already on the table as it is, and he probably wouldn't want to put any more as it is.
Also, all of us "Advertise" just by using his controllers. Especially when you jitter somebody with a shotgun in the final killcam ;)

These are Odin's exact words regarding sponsorships.

"We get 2-3 kids every day asking about sponsorships... about 1% of the sponsorship requests are from people with a legit youtube channel or legit ranking with a major gaming ladder. Everyone else is just wishful thinking :)"

Good luck....

Yeah like Remmnever said... we've tried a few things and never really got a boost in sales. We even tried issuing coupon codes to specific clans to be used on the site - the clan would put the coupon code on their page or in their sigs or whatever - customers would get a discount using the coupon and the clan would get a kickback. We ran that program for like 6 months - we issued coupon codes to everybody who asked - we only sold two controllers under the coupon code :) .

The only real sponsorship type deal that got us any traffic was a freebie we sent to Wingz of Redemption and he put up a quick unboxing video on youtube. It generated a good amount of traffic to our site - unfortunately it was mostly anti-cheat haters who flooded our youtube videos with hate messages and thumbsdown for about 6 weeks.

Then whoever you had advertising for you, wasn't doing it right. I generate hundreds of page views a day every time I go on xbox live and advertise my website and the mods that I sell. Even if those hundreds of page views aren't generating hundreds of orders coming in, it's getting the word out. I've had random people start sending me friend request and coming on xbox live telling me they've heard of my website from a friend and they're looking to buy a mod. i'm telling you, It all works out. Sending out 1 regular 200 black viking to me, a guy with a sense of business and advertising, could generate so much traffic to the site. And 98% of the kids that come to my site aren't mod haters. They're kids that want mods. It's pretty simple. You'd get the $200 back the same day. And more. Think about it. It's not about me being sponsored by you guys. Not really what the post is about. It's about more money, and more traffic, for Viking

It's weird, on the flip side I can tell you that I believe that word of mouth IS what drives this business. Tradtional marketing also works pretty well (i.e. having a website, a facebook page and a blog). Video reviews, PPC campaigns and other aggressive types of advertising I'm not sure if those have a big affect or not. Sometimes it's hard to track where our sales come from. One thing is for sure, word of mouth is huge. It's just hard to tell which mouths :). In a way why give away a $200 controller, when we can sell a $200 controller and that customer is still going to talk to his friends and so on. If we gave away $200 controllers to everybody we wouldn't make any money. We sort of get that word of mouth anyway because of the product...

A guy getting on every once in a while and using the mod is nothing like someone who's going out and doing only that. Just by someone playing with the controller and even getting the final killcam, that isn't enough. They aren't advertising really. They might tell one person IF that person asks where they got their mod. Marketing is my thing. I know how to make you guys money.

it doesnt matter if you know how to make viking360 money. you are not getting sponsored period. viking360 doesnt sponsor ANYONE and how would you know how to make viking360 money when WingsOfRedemtion didnt even really increase sales...stop trying because in the end you are not getting any closer to getting a sponsorship..personally i think your just trying to scam viking360 out of a 200 dollar controller. so go take your scams somewhere else.

If you're really that desperate to do a sponsorship with Viking, maybe first buy a controller and then see if you can work out a deal with Odingalt where he gives you a coupon code that you can give out to people when you "advertise".

If you actually get people to come and buy controllers, then you can make a small percentage of each sale that uses the coupon code. If you're really that confident in your advertising skills then this would be no problem for you.

At the moment, you honestly don't have any motive for advertising once you get your controller, you could just tell Odingalt you're advertising and do nothing. How about you actually put your money where your mouth is and prove just how well you "know marketing". If you refer a lot of people that actually buy controllers then you could eventually pay off your controller.

Sounds like a great idea, however I believe odingalt tried this and it didn't boost sales.

The main reason it didn't work is because the kid turned out to be a crazy lunatic who had schizophrenia or something. Hard for things to work out under those conditions. I was mainly just stating how this Guy should actually buy a controller first, instead of begging for one and demanding he gets it because he took the manditory economics class in high school.

SO for anyone who thinks I can't get customers for viking. I got Justin Fullam to buy Black Serpent last night. Check the orders or whatever. I'm sure it's there, (; many more where that came from. But yeah i'm "just scamming a controller" Fuck off random.

One sale isn't going to make a huge difference.

You come here with literally no proof of anything. Then you demand a controller and a sponsorship? What makes you think viking360 will just give you a controller? Because you can have some of your close friends buy a controller?

Fat chance.

If you actually want to be of assistance, track down everyone who orders from you. Get their names.

If you have say, 30-50 names, then maybe viking360 will decide to give you a controller as a sponsor. However this is just an idea, and like everyone has stated, viking360 does not do sponsorships anymore.

Honestly there is no point in arguing, if you'd like to make a deal with odingalt, good luck. I doubt you'll get anymore but go ahead and PM him.
