Help with drop shot! Please?

I have a Thors Hammer. Downloaded the editor and made one slot for a drop shot. Only I don't know how to use it. Can anybody please explain this to me like I am a 40 year old?

Also I used Jitter yy method. What does it do? I see it shoots fast but what is the YY used for?

Sorry for the noob questions. All help is greatly appreciated.
