Interested Buyer, Need Info Please.

Hiya guys, really interested in what I have read about the Viking Macros Controller. I have a couple of questions though if someone could please help.

- I'm mainly interested in the Macros feature, regarding fighting games. I do not wish to use this online at all, I simply need assistance with some of the trials and missions on some games. I have problems with my hands, and these missions are beyond my capabilities. I noticed most/if not all the trials are on this site for SSF4 and Mvc3, But I see nothing for Streetfighter 4, or Ultimate MvC3. My question is this: How would I go about Macros"ing these 2 games, or is it not possible? I know all the inputs (have a list) would I be able to program them in using a PC? Or is it deeper than that? Or are these games already on the site hidden somewhere?

- How do the wireless controller keep power, can an Offical MS Battery pack be used? Or is a Viking one supplied? Or can we simply use AA Reachrgables (Energizer etc) Also is a USB cable for the PC included in box? And/Or charge cable?

- I have read on XBOX.com and linked forums that these controllers are frowned upon, but if used in offline modes, or single player games, then you can not be banned from XBL, or reset. Is this true?

Sorry for the questions but my final ones is this:

- Do you guys ship to the UK? What would the estimated delivery time be for shipping here, and is there shipping options on payment for international buyers? I am guessing you guys are an American company Which leads to the next question, will these pads work on a PAL console?

Being very pricey I wanted to make sure what I am buying is suited for my needs. Thanks in advance any kind soul who can help me.

Making macro for those games is very much possible. I have heard there are some on the website for SSF4 however you can plug in your controller into your computer and using the software make macros for MvC3. Its really not too hard. There is a record feature that can be flashed to your controller also that will allow you to punch a certain sequence and then export it to the software to tweak it and make it perfect.

You can keep an Official MS battery pack actually the controller ships with a battery pack along with the play and charge cable. If wanted you could also use AA rechargeables.

You cannot get banned even if you use this controller online however you will hear a lot of complaining and people will report you from time to time. However Microsoft doest really care for modded accesories. Its not top priority for them.

You will have to wait for that last question to be answered since Im not sure I do know it would work on a PAL console. Welcome to the forums this controller is great!

Thanks MJ23, I never knew you could record an input, and then tweak it, that is impressive indeed. I am pretty sold on this controller, it truly is a work of art. Can I also ask, is the pad, the initial base of it, a Official Controller thats been modded? Or is it a generic brand? I hope I can buy from UK as I am 95% sold on this, If I can use it on Streetfighter 4 and Ultimate MvC3 then that would seal the deal. I looked in the library and you have pretty much all MvC3 and SSF4 stuff, just not the other versions (SF4 & UMvC3)

I bought a Datel Wildfire 2 for this very purpose, but when I got home, and searched online, there are hardly any Macros for it.

So I can get into the swing of all this, I am guessing the word Macross...means a chain of button combinations?

Anyways thats enough from me. I am pretty decent on a PC so using the video tutorials I could likely suss out the Macros side of it. Hopefully lol.

It is the official xbox 360 controller, modified.

We ship from U.S. so shipping will be expensive. Go on to vikingdigital and order a macro controller. Put in the UK as the address and check the shipping cost. Then on top of that, you'll have to pay customs :/ . It is expensive to get to the UK indeed :(

Indeed yes. A macro can do anything almost. You simply press a button - and then a series or chain of button combinations will be played depending on the macro.

I thought SSF4 was the same as SF4? Same with Ultimate MvC3, and MvC3. They are different?
You can also make your own macros. You can program them on a PC with our software on the website at viking360.com . You can record yourself doing things in SF4/UMvC3 and then upload that to the computer, and edit to your liking.

You can use AA rechargeables, or a PnC cable + rechargeable pack, or just AA. We highly recommend regular AA and new at that, or you can use a rechargeable battery pack with a PnC cable. With a macro controller, we include PnC kit which is PnC cable + battery pack.

Modded controllers currently cannot get you banned. We cannot speak for the future, so we are not liable if you get banned. So far, no person has ever gotten banned with our controllers.

Yes, but it is expensive. The estimated delivery time is a few weeks I'd say. The controller has to get to the UK, and then go to Customs. Getting through customs can take awhile. The controllers work fine on consoles in the UK, as we have had many customers in the UK.

Can I just ask 2 more questions before I order? Sorry for the hassle, but one I wanted to know, the first one, and the second someone from our forums asked.

- Can buttons be reassigned on this pad. Like for example, can L3 be moved over to X and X to L3, or A moved to LB etc. No biggie if not as my Cheapy Wildfire 2 does this.
- Is the included Play & Charge Kit and Battery Pack the official MS one? If not...can the Official MS one be used. I replied to this guy that most likely yes, as at its core it is an Official MS Pad.

Unfortunately no however you can reassign buttons to different tac switches if you wanted.

Yes the Play and charge kit along with the battery is all stock MS accessories. The controller starts out as a stock Microsoft controller and they just take a chip programmed by Odin and solder it all up on the inside.

Wow this gets better and better, the Official stuff included is a massive bonus. I also have to say, I watched an unboxing on Youtube, and how amazing is the packaging!!! I love little things like that, regarding the buttons, Reassigning to the Tacs...do you mean the extra 6 buttons that are added? (2 front - 4 back). That would be amazing if you could add L3 to a Tac button and then add Rapid Fire/Turbo, is that possible? Again not so much a selling point cos my Wildfire 2 does this, but it would be a nice extra and would not need the extra pad for things like boosting spot medals in Gears 3 etc. Anyways, you have been extremely helpful. I am going to order as soon as I get my pay sorted, within the next 2 weeks I pray, and I will be right here ready to buy. You guys have sold me on this. Excellent forum, Excellent product. Thanks...

PS If anyone knows any tips how to make, or who to ask for SF4 and UMvC3 Macros, even if its just the new characters, then fire a PM my way or reply here, but for now I am just waiting to order and am very excited. Adios and speak soon.

Here's the lowdown on reassigning buttons.

Every stock button can be reassigned to a tac in some way. There are 6 tacs. A tac can only do one macro per page. Thus you can have up to 5 reassignments on page one (5 tacs, one is x, a, b, y, start, and then 1 tac is for turning pages), and then page 2 can be all about macros on the tacs as an example.

A tac can press RT, LB, anything. It can be RB + LB, etc etc. You simply assign a macro to it that does RB + LB, and then when you press the tac that is what it'll do.

Every button can also play out macros. A can play a macro that does a series of LEDs if you want. So A button causes your ring of light to flash blue. Cool right?

Say A has no use in a game you are playing. But Y has a big use! And you want A to act as a Y button. NO PROBLEM. You simply make a macro that presses Y, and assign it to A.
Then, A will press A+Y, but since A doesn't do anything A simply does Y. And then you've reassigned Y to A as an example.

This is just using the BASICS of the macro controller. Remember any button and or a tac can still play out complicated button combinations too. Macros.
