I was wondering if there was a way you can you player two led to show what programming mode you are in?

No you can't. It isn't wired up to the chip.

could you wire player 2 instaid?...isnt it just a different solder point?

If you really wanted to wire it up then, it's just a matter of wiring that wire to the player 2 LED rather than the Player 3/4.
