Problem with my viking!!

I purchased my grey cloud viking only about 2 weeks ago and i have to say i love it but i have been having some problems. my controller randomly and quite often either resets or just stops working. What i mean by "resets" is doesn't matter what page I'm on it goes to page 1 and i have to scroll back to the page i was on. and this will continue to happen constantly OR "stops working" which means i go to page 1 and it just freezes none of the tac switches work and i can't scroll through my pages. I try to take the battery pack out and even sometimes replace it and ti dosnt solve the problem. If jets or even odin could please comment with some help. idk if ill need a replacement or what, but i wanted to start this thread before they all get sold out and help would be greatly appreciated. I'm a little upset because with shipping i spent over 300 dollars on this controller and i feel i shouldn't be having these problems

Although it should have the most recent firmware on it I would try flashing the latest firmware to it anyways. That can be found here http://viking360.com/download-software-drivers/the-viking-software-record-and-playback-moves

If that doesn't work I would wait until Odin or Jets gives you advice you may have to open a support ticket though.

I wouldn't try reflashing the firmware just yet. I would first start by buying brand new AA batteries. It sounds like your letting the power run really low, and the macro controller's modchip cannot function on power that low.

So try this for me, first buy new AA batteries and see how it works. When the problems happen, put in new AA batteries.

If there are still issues, reflash the firmware.

If that doesn't help, it sounds like either the modchip or the microsoft circuit board has failed or has problems. It may be microsoft's fault for their crappy circuit boards!

At any rate, if the problem does not get fixed by doing what I said above, then it is time to make a support ticket. If you have not tampered with the controller, we will fix it for free as long as you bought it off of viking360.com. We may charge shipping.

ok well i did realize in the past couple weeks replacing the batteries did help but i mean i went through batteries like no tomorrow and sometimes it would still happen. i then tried using the play and charge yesterday that seems to be working i have already ref lashed the firmware if it persists i wil start a support ticket.
