I just had to post this quote. Jobs said it in an address to Stanford University in '05 about a year after he got diagnosed with cancer. This guy almost literally worked until his death, and the last 7 years have been spent battling cancer. He was an awesome guy.

"Remembering that I'll be dead soon is the most important tool I've ever encountered to help me make the big choices in life. Because almost everything — all external expectations, all pride, all fear of embarrassment or failure - these things just fall away in the face of death, leaving only what is truly important. Remembering that you are going to die is the best way I know to avoid the trap of thinking you have something to lose. You are already naked. There is no reason not to follow your heart."

As much as I bashed apple products and fanboys, I have to give steve jobs credit. The man was one of the greatest businessmen the world has even seen. It's a shame he died so young.

I want to add as well, that was one of the most amazing quotes I've read in a long time.

Im interested in seeing what apple becomes. Steve Jobs was the driving force at apple. He built it from his garage to a multi billion dollar company, primarily himself. He had an amazing amount of motivation, and countless number of ideas that were far fetched from anything at the time (handheld touch screen phone/ipod). I will be surprised if apple still prospers without a ceo like steve jobs.

Dang thats crazy he was a smart man and hope apple continues to strive as im not a fanboy of either apple,microsoft, or android products all own them and love them.

The man was a visionary and ahead of anyone of his time this is a huge blow to the apple company and the electronics world he will be deeply missed
