Shipping Option For The Communtiy

One thing i love about this site is not only they sell the best 360 controllers on the market ( also future ps3 controllers) but the community stands as one, which is very rare now and days. now i was just about to order one of your controllers on here when i notice that you only have one shipping company you work with ups. which in my opinion sucks but thats story for another time. i come here today just for as a suggestion for the site. i think that either switch postal service or add more options and far as postal service and carriers will add to the site. now i have done some research on different carriers and this is what i came up with. i have also guessed at the weight of the shipping package to 3 pounds and did shipping from zip code 99336 ( hometown of v360) to zip code 34744 ( my home town). also i have put the transit date from today (Thursday morning)

In my opinion the usps has the best rates and can delver there packages way FASTER and cheaper than fedex and ups. i know its not that much of a big difference but hey 5 bucks is 5 bucks. and for a overnight package with usps you basically get it the next day for only 3 bucks more than compared to ups 3 day shipping (when i buy something i want it NOW lol ). Also they will come to your door and pick up the package im just saying this as a suggestion to bring faster( save gas money, which we all know is still to high) and better service to your company and customers. i would love to hear input on the community

I remember reading somewhere where odingalt was talking about shipping. Ups seemed to have the least problems. Usps has fast shipping rates, but around holidays, things get hectic and it takes a while to get your package. Also Ups has legitimate tracking and signature confirmation, meaning it shows the exact place, and time, that the package is. Wait until nyjets, or odingalt see this thread, they should be able to explain more.

USPS simply has too bad of a tracking system for use. We can't afford them losing packages / customers trying to chargeback because of faulty tracking info and such.

UPS is the #1 (I believe) safest / best tracking shipper. They are much better for shipping things like macro controllers.

if odingalt would do usps i would pay the 30 bucks plus the 180 for a new macro black controller to have it by sa****ay right now. i trust usps just get tracking and insurance it

Lol, but seriously we can't make exceptions.

We have done it in the past and (possibly 100% of the time) we got *****ed over in the end due to scammers / chargebacks.

USPS insurance is horrible. I believe odingalt told me it took 6 months to get a refund?

Anyway, no exceptions. You have to use the shipping options we have on the site.

We are looking into launching a new website this fall that will better accommodate a wider variety of products. This will also give us the option to review our shipping options.

However, I can tell you with 100% certainty that we will never ship USPS mail. The reason is fraud prevention. USPS's "Signature confirmation" and "Delivery confirmation" tools are meaningless to PayPal, Visa and MasterCard. Last year when we shipped USPS, we lost countless chargebacks and PayPal disputes - even when producing the customer's signature, when they signed at the same address as their credit card's registered billing address. For whatever reason, USPS's delivery confirmation and signature confirmation are useless in preventing outright fraud by scammers.

On the UPS / FedEx. We are a small business. We only ship a couple hundred packages in a busy month. If we ship a certain volume, UPS gives us certain discounts, which we pass on to the customer. Our cart calculates real-time shipping rates based on the discounts we get from UPS. My guess is that (since our discounts are so tiny to begin with), customers would rather just have the choice of UPS / FedEx rather than receiving a couple dollars off shipping. At the end of the day, our shipping rates are way higher than the big retail outlets like NewEgg.com, Walmart.com, etc. since our volume just isn't high enough. If our new website's shopping cart software can easily integrate us into both UPS and FedEx, then I'm all for offering both options to customers.

Sorry about the USPS! I know how convenient (and fast!) the USPS can be. But the chargebacks (and the lost packages - the USPS loses about 2% of packages outright) causes so much grief that we have gone with the commercial shipping carriers. Reliability is too important to risk shipping any more packages with the USPS.

thanx odingalt for explaining and i fully understand the whole thing with paypal, people just love to abuse anything they get there hands on. also im sorry to hear about your lose with the usps didnt know they where such a headache. well your right better to stick with ups better safe than taking a lose. i would say just stick to ups then since there rates are cheaper compared to fedex. hope to see the new site soon, keep up the good work. also i will be buying a controller after the holiday and hope the price stays the same i notice it went up 4 bucks ( i stalk v360 )
