Ok x41s have two speakers...so how does it get TRUE surround sound....plus there is no game out there that supports 7.1....even the consoles don't support 7.1....and yes I have used x41s and they sound just like x31s....and build quality of turtle beaches are sh-it....plus I can use this on my ps3 aswell and the mic works for the ps3...bottom line TURTLE BEACHES ARE OVER RATED AND SUCK

I've used: Regular Xbox Headset, Wireless Xbox Headset, Turtle Beach X1, Turtle Beach X3, Turtle Beach X41, Turtle Beach X31, Astro A40, Tritton AX180, and Tritton AX720. My quick review is it basically depends on what you're looking for. Cheap and light weight = Regular Xbox Headset. Comfort and mobility = Wireless Xbox Headset. Cheap and surround sound headset = Turtle Beach X1. Cheap and surround sound headset with mobility = Turtle Beach X3. Surround sound headset with mobility = Turtle Beach X41. Cheap-but-not-to-cheap headset with surround sound and mobility = Turtle Beach X31. Moneys-not-a-problem, I-want-the-best = Astro A40. Cheap and awesome quality = Tritton AX180. Good-for-the-money with awesome quality headset = Tritton AX720. It really just depends on what you're looking for, they all have pros and cons. I personally prefer the Turtle Beach X3. You get a fair price, they're wireless, have nice quality with very little cons. They also have bass boost and game/voice volume control. They also let you hear yourself, so you're not yelling into your mic. To me, that's a lot of pro features for the $79.99 price, new. But if money isn't a problem - but you don't want to spend $250 on Astros, get the Tritton AX720/AXPro, they have amazing quality, the best quality I've heard (right next to the Astro). This is just my opinion though, all of the headsets listed are nice, it just depends what you're looking for.. most of the time I'm just using my Wireless Xbox Headset because of the mobility, comfort (for the first few hours), and it lets me listen to my music + game + computer + here people talk in the background.

True but tritton ax pros is the only headset that has 4 speakers in each earcup and offers true surround sound.....and astros are deffinitaly not the best...and turtle beaches EMULATE surround sound

Yeah. I'm just saying that they all have there own special abilities. Turtle Beach = bass boost. Tritton = more speakers. Astros = audio mixer.

True....but do you want a headset that only sounds good for grenades or a headset that you can here people reloading with....also the trittons have a mixer too...but if you want the astro mixer you can buy it and use it with the trittons....keep replying I like seeing other peoples point of view on this

I personally like the Turtle Beach X3, since it's wireless, comfortable (to an extent), good value, and will last you awhile. I also like the fact how it has a puck plug in, when I got my first set of trittons, the jack wouldn't fit in my controller right and it would keep falling out. But when my friends brought over their AXPro it had AMAZING quality. It just depends, awesome quality for a heavy feeling and it's corded. But like I said, for being wireless.. I love the X3's :p By the way I saw a few of your youtube videos and have a few questions. 1: What mode do you use with your FAL? (if custom, how many SPS?) 2: What capcard do you use? 3: What's your gamertag? Lets play sometime.

Yeah the only thing for me is the price. I guess the trittons are less known of so there arent very many for sale and you can only buy from distributers, but like the a40s, and the x41s i can pick up on ebay for around 130 and thats with the mixmaster or whatever. but when i search ax pros there are like 3 headsets that come up and are all 190
