I bought the DIY kit and installed it to my matrix controller yesterday and ive just tried to program the controller but i ran into a problem.
Windows recognizes controller but the bootloader says device not detected.
I can tell windows detects the device because every time i plug the usb cable in windows says usb device detected.
Ive tired rebooting my computer.
I'm using fresh batteries and a fully charged b-pack with no success.

I found the problem. I soldered the 3.5mm jack the wrong way round.
Does anyone know an alternative V point because the point on my controller got lifted and i can no longer solder to it

due to updates to accomidate the new cg2 controller, the chip will put itself into sleep mode when not in use. so you can use any power point such as the mics supply,or ever directly to the positive battery terminal. when the controller shuts off, the chip will shut off after a few moments of inactivity. In order for this new feature to work though, you must enable word bit programing the first time you program the controller, and as recently pointed out, I would first completly erase the chip then click word programing and program a new code intot he controller.
