I think thats just a reaction to the batteries. The controllers sometimes act weirdly to different brands of batteries.

alright so what kind of AA battery are best? rechargable kind so i dont have to keep buying batteries

I just use the rechargeable pack from microsoft and it works.

i was going to take apart the microsoft rechargable pack and upgrade the battries inside
