If your going to buy an ethernet cable, you might as well get yourself a cat-6 over a cat-5 cable.


But I'm guessing this bad 'connection problem' will pass with time. If you have only had this problem for a week, then wait a couple days and see if it goes back to normal.

I had a similar problem but only lasted about 4 days and my friend who lives in Denver had the same thing too....

the difference between CAT-5 and CAT-6 really isnt much...my dad is an electrician and i have worked with him....personally the only difference i notice is the price.....I only recommend CAT-6 over CAT-5 and CAT-5e if you have a fiber optic internet provider...other wise you wouldnt see a significant difference.

If your buying a new cable, why not spend the couple extra bucks now on a CAT-6 cable? Instead of buying a cheap CAT-5 cable now and then buying a CAT-6 later down the road. Why buy old technology when new technology is out? We are talking about a couple of dollars here, not hundreds of dollars......Mane.......

I think I paid $14 for my 50ft CAT-6 cable(plus its a sweet yellow color....Wu-Tang...Wu-Tang.....)

i never said hundreds. but personally i dont see CAT-6 going anywhere when CAT-7 is around the corner...
