and i have found a great trick for putting new ones on. unplug your xbox then put the battery pack in your controller, turn it on so the leds should be blinking therefore when you get the led on right it will blink

You should never ever solder to stuff when its live.

yeah i didnt mean solder it i meant touch the led to the contacts and if its on right it will light up. then you turn off and solder so you dont mess up the electronics
