I'm pretty sure it just defaults to whatever mode it was in when you turned it off. Since you mostly use mode three, it stays in mode three.

I think a preset that repeatedly pressed aim and then fire would be killer in this game as once you aim you lock on for a short while. This isn't possible with the preset editor, is this how the GTA setting works?

Wouldn't you actually be able to use LT as the input and have a momentary delay before RT is subsequently fired? Granted you'd have to use LT for "shoot" but it would get around the impossibility...
