Try removing the batteries and then hold the sync button down while inserting the batteries and then turn it on with the guide button whilst still holding the sync button down.. Let me know if it worked or not.

Check all your points, maybe touch them up a little. Check for shorts on the controllers main chip on the back..

You can install which ever you prefer, it being on an XCM shell does not matter.

So today my main 360 decides it doesn't like to play games any more and won't read them and it's out of warranty so it has no hope.. but the new Xbox 360 S come's out on Friday here so I thought, why not :P I know I can quite easily fix my one but where's the fun in that?

Why would the button test code help? It sounds like you might of knocked the controller and the LED may of came loose, open a support ticket on the main site.

Well you could always send it to Me or Fredrow if you wanted it cleaned without risking a breakage.. I certainly wouldn't charge much for it. The Vahalla chip is quite sceptical at this moment in time, I think its about 2 months away from release (If they are on schedule).
