yes when you go to system settings and hover over like display or something there will be a number ike 2.00.7357.00 and if the 4 digit number is less than 7371 than your good. and 7371's work sometimes you just need to dump the nand to make sure

mine was actually really easy i used llamma's parts and tutorial and it worked great. I clamped it down and plugged it in to over heat it but it worked fine, so i overheated it an wala a fixed xbox

Yes the controller does eat batterys when the lights are on, but you can turn the lights off. i only have the lights on when im trying to show off to friends, but play and charge works really well

I usually put flux on witha toothpick, and for traces you can either use the holes or traces and you scrape them down to the copper, then apply flux and tin the trace so it is silver and then solder the wire
